General Car Rental and Assurance Conditions

RENTAL TERMS & CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

 

Rental Duration

The minimum rental duration is 24 hours (1 day). For monthly or longer-term rentals, please contact our call center at (212) 4413777.

 

In Case of Possible Delays:

In cases of possible delays, you are required to inform our call center.

In the event of delays exceeding 2 hours or if no timely notification is provided for the delay, the daily vehicle rental fee will be charged for the day in question.

 

Fuel

Our vehicles are usually delivered and returned with an empty tank or as it was received. This practice is in place to protect our customers from potential miscalculations.

 

Vehicle Delivery

Pick-Up: Vehicle delivery is performed at the location specified in your reservation form.

 

Airport: For airport deliveries, airport parking is utilized, and the delivery is coordinated with the delivery staff. Prior to the scheduled delivery time, you will receive an email to your provided address, including the location where the vehicle is ready and the contact information for the staff. Your landing time is monitored based on the flight number you provided. It waits at the airport, taking into account the time it takes to collect baggage. Depending on the level of activity, your vehicle will be prepared in the parking lot at the designated landing time specified in the reservation, and the delivery process will be carried out in the parking lot. The parking fee is paid by Avpcar.

 

Delivery to an Address and Return to an Address: When you wish to pick up the vehicle from a specific address and the distance to our nearest branch or dealer is more than 10 km, an additional delivery fee will be applied. Our call center will contact you via email or phone to determine this fee.

 

Bus Terminal: As we do not have branches or dealers at bus terminals, the delivery fee can be calculated based on the distance to the bus terminal.

 

Insurance and Guarantees

Insurance details are clearly stated in the rental agreement and on our website's "Extras and What's Included" page. Below, you can review explanations of all insurance options. Since the insurance application may vary depending on your location and the vehicle you rent, the terms stated in your reservation confirmation or rental agreement are valid.

 

Full Coverage Insurance (Full Coverage): Our vehicles are fully insured against accidents, collisions, theft, and similar situations. For other situations, please review Mini Damage Package options.

 

Mini Damage Package: It provides coverage in cases where a police report cannot be prepared for situations like tire damage, glass breakage, headlight damage, and more. The inclusion and details of the Mini Damage Package are as indicated during the reservation process.

 

Personal Accident Insurance: It is an insurance that secures individuals in the vehicle within the insurance limits. Details are specified in the compulsory traffic insurance policy.

 

Optional Financial Liability Insurance: It is an insurance that covers damages to third parties within specified limits in addition to compulsory financial liability (traffic) insurance. Details are specified in the compulsory traffic insurance policy.

 

Traffic Fines

Traffic fines such as radar violations, highway tolls, and bridge crossings are reported to us by the relevant authorities based on the vehicle's license plate. If it is understood that the fine belongs to you based on specific date and time, the relevant document will be sent to you via email. You will be requested to make the payment within the timeframe stated in the document to the specified account numbers or payment may be deducted from your credit card. In case the fine amount is not paid, your rental agreement, personal information, and the fine notice will be transferred to contracted law firms to initiate legal proceedings on your behalf.

 

Mileage Limits

Our vehicles are used according to a fair mileage principle. The main details regarding mileage usage are clearly stated during the reservation process under the "included in the price" section. For additional usage, you can contact our call center to get information. The mileage excess fee is calculated as 0.15 euros.

 

Payment Terms and Security

The vehicle rental fee, along with additional product and service fees, is collected either in advance, in cash, or from the lessee's personal credit card at the beginning of the rental period. Depending on the price difference that may occur at the end of the rental, the payment is collected or refunded from the credit card. The lessee must be physically present at our branch, and the credit card of a different person is not accepted.

 

Security Deposit: In addition to the vehicle rental fee, a security (deposit) may be required in certain situations. The required deposit amounts are determined under the "REQUIREMENTS" section during the reservation steps according to the vehicle groups and are collected from the lessee's personal credit card at the beginning of the rental. These collected deposit amounts will be completely refunded when the vehicle is returned to you.

Reservation, Agreement, and Changes

Reservations made through our website or our call center: After your reservation is confirmed, you can change the vehicle group, reservation date, add or remove additional products before your arrival date. Some changes may result in price differences. If a change of pick-up location is desired, the current reservation must be canceled, and a new reservation must be made. Unfortunately, the prices in your new reservation will not be the same as those in your previous reservation.

 

Early Return of the Rental: In case the vehicle is returned before the date range of the reservation, the price is recalculated according to the number of days the vehicle is used. Since the agreement is canceled, and the vehicle is left idle, the remaining amount is returned after deducting the fee for the 3-day idle period.

 

Extension of the Rental: If there is a request for a longer rental period beyond the reservation date range after the rental starts, additional fees are collected using the payment method provided at the beginning of the rental after the price is recalculated by the system.

 

No-Show Procedure: In case the vehicle is not picked up after 1 hour from the specified pick-up time in the reservation or after the control of the flight number you provided, your reservation will be considered a "No-show," and no vehicles will be guaranteed from any group. In the case of a No-show, your reservation will be canceled after 2 hours.

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy: You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up time. In case of repeated cancellations without stating any reason, your customer record is marked as a negative customer profile, and you will not receive positive responses to your future rental needs. If the prepayment was made with an online credit card method, a refund process is carried out through the bank in parallel with the cancellation process. Usually, the payment is refunded to the credit card used for payment within 3 business days. If the prepayment was made by bank transfer, a refund in Turkish Lira is performed according to the exchange rate on the day the reservation was created to a TL account in Turkey. Prepayment amounts can only be refunded to Garanti Bank foreign currency accounts in Turkey without interruption. If bank conditions change to the detriment of the company or customer interests, this refund method cannot be implemented. In case a refund outside of Turkey is requested, EFT, Wire Transfer, Correspondent Bank fees requested by banks and financial institutions are deducted from the refund amount. In case you request the amount to be refunded, an discount code can be transferred to the customer's registered account in the system for use in a single use by the person who previously made the reservation.

 

Other Important Points

  • All fees related to the rental are collected through financial institutions belonging to the lessee. Virtual cards and debit cards are not valid.

  • In the event of any damage, to make your insurance valid, you must report to the emergency hotline and inform the Traffic Police or Gendarmerie without moving the vehicle from the accident scene and obtain a "Police Report" along with an "Alcohol Report." In the case of minor damage traffic accidents, a "Minor Damage Accident Detection Report" can be prepared if the parties involved agree on how the accident occurred. In case the vehicle is stolen, you should contact the police and obtain a "Theft Detection Report." Along with the report, the car key must be delivered to us. If you have an accident with your vehicle, if it is stolen, if it breaks down, if the tire bursts, or if you need any kind of emergency assistance, you can call our "+90 (212) 4413777 Emergency Assistance" line, which serves 24/7 nationwide.

  • Going abroad: None of our insurance policies are valid outside the borders of Turkey, and taking our vehicles outside the borders of Turkey is also prohibited. Please check the delivery form and your contract.

  • In the event of an accident with your vehicle, theft, breakdown, a flat tire, or any situation requiring emergency assistance, you can call our 24/7 emergency assistance hotline, which serves across all of Turkey, at +90 (212) 4413777.

  • Exiting Turkey: None of our insurance policies are valid outside the borders of Turkey, and it is also prohibited to take our vehicles beyond the borders of Turkey. Please check the delivery form and your contract.

  • Vehicle Rental Reservations: Your vehicle rental reservations are confirmed for the vehicle group, and no guarantee is provided for any specific brand or model.



  • The lessee accepts and undertakes to pay for all kinds of mechanical and electrical damage, including but not limited to, usage errors, carelessness, negligence, etc., that may occur in the vehicle received in good and proper condition. These damages, including all kinds of mechanical and electrical damage, are not covered by insurance and guarantees.

  • Winter tire option is offered as an extra product and is subject to a fee. Winter tire availability may vary depending on the region and branch and is limited by stock.

  • For all vehicle groups and for customers residing within Turkey, your reservation may be confirmed, and, as in the initial rental, in some cases, your financial analysis* may be requested to take the vehicle. Your financial analysis report must comply with Avpcar rental criteria. You can have your financial analysis done by calling +90 (212) 13777.

  • "Your financial analysis can be done via www.findeks.com with your Turkish identity number and GSM number registered in Turkish banks. After these details are taken in the inquiry, you need to confirm the message sent to your GSM number registered in Turkish banks."
